Why we're building Repostry
· 1 min read · Repostry
The short version: posting the same vertical video to four different platforms shouldn’t take twenty minutes. Right now it does. We’re fixing that.
The ritual
If you make short-form video, you know the dance:
- Record on your phone.
- Open TikTok. Upload. Write a caption. Pick a thumbnail. Publish.
- Open YouTube. Upload. Write a different caption (YouTube hates TikTok watermarks). Pick a thumbnail. Publish.
- Open Instagram. Upload. Write another different caption. Publish.
- Maybe Facebook, maybe not, because honestly who has the energy.
Every step is trivial. Every step is boring. Every step adds friction between “I made something” and “it’s out in the world.” The friction compounds until creators just stop posting to half the platforms — or worse, post a cross-share link, which every algorithm on the planet punishes.
What Repostry does differently
Repostry talks to each platform’s native publishing API. That means:
- Your video uploads once, in parallel, to every platform you’ve connected.
- Each post is a native post, not a link to another platform.
- Platform algorithms treat it exactly like an organic upload, because it is one.
- You can write one caption or four, schedule for later, or publish right away.
// The core of the upload pipeline
let targets = [.tikTok, .youtubeShorts, .instagramReels, .facebookReels]
let job = UploadJob(video: video, captions: captions, targets: targets)
await publisher.publish(job)
What’s next
We’re in private beta now. If you want in, join the waitlist and we’ll send you a TestFlight link as soon as there’s a slot. We’ll write another post when the public iOS build is on the App Store.
Thanks for reading.
